Optionally select the profile template to be applied to your blades. Note: customized and profiled blades cannot be returned.
"Custom Skate Profile" is required
Select the custom pitch to be profiled on the blades. Profile pitch places the skater on the balls of their feet enabling additional quickness and agility though sacrifices some time end speed. Use the “default” option for the built-in pitch on Prosharp profiles.
"Custom Profile Pitch" is required
Optionally shave the heel and toe of the runners to expedite the break in process. This is generally not recommended as it potentially reduces the lifespan of the blades and possibly removes stability when shaving the heel.
No toe or heel shaving.
"Toe/Heel Shaving" is required
Describe any blades you are sending including size, brand, and profiling history. Add any additional instructions.
We currently offer multiple sharpening options. A complimentary skate blade leveling and sharpening is included with all new blade orders. Note that blades cannot be returned once they are sharpened. Select None for no sharpening. Select Sparx for a low cost option or for those looking for the Fire flat bottom edge. Select Blackstone for those looking for the FBV and the highest quality hand sharpening.
"Sharpening Type" is required
Select the option for your Sparx sharpening.
"Sharpening Edge" is required
Select the edge for your sharpening. A radius of hollow sharpening (ROH) grinds a circular hollow into the bottom of your blades during sharpening process. The smaller the circle the deeper the hollow will be and the more bite you will get on the ice. Flat Bottom V (FBV) sharpening options are defined in terms of the ratio between the width of the channel and the height. The first number describes the width of the channel in thousands of an inch. The width of the channel will determine the bite of the edge. The second number is the depth of the Flat. It is available at three different levels, 50, 75, and 100. The deepest depth, 100, represents 1 thousandths of an inch, 75 represents ¾ of a thousandth of and inch, and 50 represents ½ of a thousandth of an inch. The depth will determine how much of the edge is able to sink into the ice.
